The tea in Ten Ren’s Earl Grey tea bags is harvested from the central mountains of Sri Lanka and scented with the oil of bergamot. Grown at elevations over 5000 feet above sea level, this high quality tea is carefully selected and scented. In the early 19th century, a Chinese nobleman presented this tea to the prime minister of England, Earl Grey, hence the name of this tea. Earl Grey is one of the most popular black teas in the world and may be enjoyed hot or cold with or without sugar, cream, and lemon. When brewed, Earl Grey Tea produces a dark brownish-red soup that has a strong earthy but faintly sweet aroma. It tastes rich with a moderately earthy aftertaste.
The water used to steep this tea should be at the boiling point, 212°F (100°C). Each box has 20 tea bags and the shipping weight is 0.16 pounds.
