Special White Tea (White Peony) - 4oz

Ten Tea'sSM Special Grade White tea is also known as Bai Mu Dan or White Peony. These tea leaves are produced from the young and tender leaves of each bud. The finished leaves have touches of fuzzy white and many have a light green color. Tea steeped from these leaves have a light golden brown color and a pleasing roasted aroma. The tea has a sweet roasted taste and a fresh and sweet aftertaste.

The water used to steep this tea should be about 160-180°F or 70-80°C. Use about 3 tablespoons (3 grams) of tea leaves for about every 5 ounces (150 milliliters) of water. A steeping time of about 3-5 minutes with more or less time recommended depending on desired concentration. As a rough guide, the higher the temperature of the water or the greater the amount of leaves used, the quicker the steeping time should be. The use of a ceramic or glass cup is recommended to enjoy the look of the leaves. Net tea weight is 4 ounces (113.4g) and shipping weight is 0.29 lb.
